| 1. Suratthani Education Area 1 is responsible for the English Resource Instruction Centre, known as ERIC. It provides English seminars and helps teachers and students to develop English Activities. The centre is operated by funding from the Thai government as the World Bank Loan Project.
2. Cooperation with Suratthani Provincial Administration MOU Ministry of Understanding. This provides computers, technology, and classrooms for its operation and administrators with a budget of 1.2 million Baht. Preparation and running the fist phase involved 96 students two special English programs the EET, and EST.
3. Cooperation with “por – thor” (petroleum petrol of Thailand ), the”Har – Sar “ C learning project was a huge success and the school was warded first runner up in 2005
4. Under the patronage of Princess Sirindhorns the school created a botany tree garden (Suan – Pruksasart - Rian) which won prizes and was given the Royal seal by the Princess herself.
5. Suratpittaya has won many awards, and is noted for its excellence in Science both Regionally, Nationally and Internationally in Countries such as Malaysia , Korea and India . These were achieved under the leadership of Ajarn Su – Aree the advisor for the science club.
6. The school won an award in a web site competition, and the first runner up of a computer competition in 2005 and 2006. The award was presented to computer students who developed the ICT used by their advisor Ajarn Kitima Petsap and her staff.
7. From 2003 – 2006, the school was awarded the “Best Practice of Students Gaurdians” from the research institute (Sor – Wor - Ror)
8. With the help of translators OBEC (the Office of Basic Education commission) (“Sor – Por - Thor”) has provided Chinese teachers to Suratpittaya. From 2004 – present. The Chinese program is very interesting and popular with the students, and the numbers have increased each year from 44 to 68 and 98 respectively.
9. In cooperation with the Suratthani Education Service Area one, Suratpittaya has organized and exacted a Buddhist project (Krong – Karn – Wi – Thi - Phit) which was selected to be the schools active operating project. |
